ANKARA (AA) – Turkiye's benchmark stock index opened flat at 2,472.52 points on Monday, slightly up by 0.02 points from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 3.30% to close Friday at 2,472.50 points, marking the end of a six-day winning streak, with a daily trading volume of 52.7 billion Turkish liras ($3.6 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 14.7695 as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT), from 14.7560 at last week's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate stood at 15.8393 versus 15.9050, while a British pound traded for 18.8120 liras, down from 19.0060 at the last close.
Brent crude oil was sold for around $102.16 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time, while the ounce price of gold was at $1,919.25.
