ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed higher on Monday for the ninth consecutive session, reaching 10,257.39 points, a 1.75% increase from the previous day.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 176.39 points, with a daily trading volume of 120.1 billion liras ($3.45 billion).
On a weekly basis, the index rose by 4.44% at Friday's close.
As of 6.23 p.m. local time (1523GMT), the price of an ounce of gold stood at $2,690.54, while Brent crude oil was priced around $72.54 per barrel.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.8205, the euro/lira at 36.8311, and the British pound traded for 44.5082 liras.
