ANKARA (AA) – Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at 2,050.09 points on Monday, up 17.65 points, or 0.87%, from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index was up 1.12% to close Friday at 2,032.44 points, with a daily trading volume of 20 billion Turkish liras ($1.5 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was down to 13.6176 as of 10.12 a.m. local time (0712GMT), from Friday's close of 13.6426.
The euro/lira exchange rate climbed to 15.4865 from 15.4448, while a British pound traded for 18.5540 liras – up from 18.5403 on Friday.
Price of Brent crude oil stood around $90.98 per barrel at the time for a 0.45% daily loss.
