ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,524.02 points on Tuesday, rising 13.71 points, or 0.55%, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.64% for an all-time high closing of 2,510.31 points on Monday, with a daily trading volume of 47 billion Turkish liras ($3.2 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 14.6525 as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT), from 14.6510 at Monday's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate fell to 15.8010 versus 15.8300, while a British pound traded for 19.0570 liras, down from 19.1360 at the last close.
Brent crude oil was sold for around $112.7 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time, while the ounce price of gold was at $1,978.4.
