ANKRA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened the week at 3,378.87 points on Monday, slightly up 0.05%, or 1.54 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.44% to end the last week at 3,377.33 points with a daily trading volume of 72.2 billion Turkish liras (nearly $4 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 18.2844 as of 10.12 a.m. local time (0712GMT), versus 18.2810 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 18.2350 from 18.3170, while a British pound traded for 21.8310 Turkish liras, down from 20.9400.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $91.05 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,674.15.
