ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 5.347.71 points on Thursday, slightly up 0.04%, or 2.10 points, from the previous close.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 1.64% to close at 5,345.61 points, with a daily trading volume of 106 billion Turkish liras ($5.6 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.7156 as of 9.53 a.m. local time (0653GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 19.8629, and a British pound traded for 22.5033 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $83.28 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,814.85.
