ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye’s benchmark stock index was up 1.8% to end Monday at 2,648.12 points.
Starting the week at 2,619.81 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index earned 46.87 points from the previous close of 2,601.25 points.
The index’s lowest value during the day was 2,619.81 points, while its daily high was 2,654.41 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.15 trillion Turkish liras ($130.8 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 48.6 billion Turkish liras ($2.93 billion).
During the first transaction day of the week, 85 stocks on the index rose, 12 fell, and three were unchanged compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $1,845.60, while Brent crude oil sold at around $119.2 per barrel as of 6.30 p.m. local time (1530GMT).
