ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index Borsa Istanbul opened at 3,027.86 points on Friday, up 0.26%, or 7.85 points, from the previous close.
Turkish Central Bank on Thursday cut its interest rate by 100 basis points from 14% to 13% in an effort to shore up growth.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was up to 18.1019 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), from 18.0950 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate slipped to 18.2574 from 18.3260, while a British pound traded for 21.5655 Turkish liras, down from 21.8400 at the previous close.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $95.36 per barrel.
