Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul up over 4.4% at week's close

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index was up 4.41% to close Friday at 5,341.96 points.

Starting the day at 5,120.96, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 225.56 points from the previous close of 5,116.41.

The index's lowest value during the day was 4,961.31, while its daily high was 5,420.38.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 4.33 trillion Turkish liras ($230.9 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 135.49 billion Turkish liras ($7.2 billion).

During the day, all 100 stocks on the index rose compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,865.50, while Brent crude oil was at around $80.06 per barrel as of 6.36 p.m. local time (1536GMT).
