ISTANBUL (AA) - The capacity utilization rate for the Turkish manufacturing industry saw a slight decline of 0.2 percentage points to 75.7% in July versus June, according to the findings of a Turkish Central Bank survey released on Monday.
Data showed that the highest utilization in August was 75.6% in intermediate goods, and the lowest rate was at 71.9% in investment goods.
Broken down by sector, the highest capacity usage was in the manufacture of paper products at 83.8%, while the lowest, 60.6%, was in leather products.
Capacity utilization rate figures are based on responses to a business tendency survey of local units operating in the manufacturing industry.
The Turkish Central Bank said 1,763 companies responded to the survey this month, and the data does not reflect the bank's views or predictions.
