ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's Communications Director Fahrettin Altun on Saturday commended the global youth for their robust response to the Gaza crisis.
Addressing the TRT World NEXT Forum in Istanbul, Altun highlighted the compassion, truth-seeking approach, and fairness exhibited by young activists worldwide in response to Israel's attacks on Gaza.
Emphasizing the critical role of youth in advocating for justice, Altun noted that messages from young people reveal their compassion and commitment to truth and fairness.
Altun also delivered a pointed critique of the international response to the Gaza crisis, lamenting the global system's failure to take concrete steps against, what he described as, Israel's genocide in Gaza.
Altun argued that the international community has completely surrendered to Zionism and its religious discourse, allowing Israel to legitimize its violence.
In his concluding remarks, Altun emphasized the need for international solidarity against exploitation and discrimination. He urged young people to actively participate in global initiatives and to form a collective voice against xenophobia and racism, reinforcing the forum's commitment to empowering youth as active agents in the international community.
NEXT by TRT World Forum is an international platform for aspiring journalists, academics, activists, non-governmental organization representatives, and entrepreneurs to voice and exchange ideas around pressing contemporary issues to create a more sustainable future.
