ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's current account balance registered a $3.67 billion deficit in November 2022, according to official data released on Wednesday.
The figure widened from a downwardly revised deficit of $2.1 billion in November 2021, the Turkish Central Bank data showed.
The gold- and energy-excluded current account posted a $5.27 billion surplus.
While the goods deficit amounted to $7.12 billion, the services posted a net surplus of $3.68 billion, the bank said.
In October, the current account had a deficit of $352 million.
A group of 12 economists surveyed by Anadolu Agency on Monday projected the current account gap for November 2022 would come in at $3 billion.
In the January-November 2022 period, the current account deficit reached $41.8 billion.
According to the survey, the forecast for the end-2022 current account balance deficit was $46.8 billion.
