ROME (AA) - The Istanbul Digital Art Festival (IDAF), set to take place in the Turkish metropolis in early May, opened its doors for a preview event in Milan.
The Meet Digital Culture Center in the Italian city hosted the preview event Tuesday, with government officials in attending. Türkiye's Consul General Mehmet Ozoktem, Azerbaijan's Cultural Attache Nigar Qurbanli, and Türkiye's Trade Attache Ahmet Erkan Cetinkayis, as well as artists and other renowned figures in digital art were among those that participated.
Forty artists are taking part in the fourth edition of the event, organized by advertising agency Mezo Digital with support from Türkiye's Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Istanbul-based Pasha Bank is the festival's main sponsor.
The festival is Türkiye's first international digital art event and Anadolu is its global communication partner.
IDAF Director Nabat Garakhanova spoke at the event and expressed her pride in realizing Türkiye's only digital art festival at the international level.
The fourth IDAF will be held on May 2-5 in Istanbul, featuring works by artists embracing concepts of the past and future as a unifying force and accepting the intersection of art and technology as a field of production.
The IDAF will host children and youth workshops, panels, and visual and audio performances until May 5.
