Türkiye's industrial output posts 1st annual decline in 1 year

Industrial production falls 0.7% at annualized pace in April, reversing 11 consecutive months of growth

Türkiye's industrial output in April decreased annually for the first time in a year, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) data showed on Monday.

April's figure was down 0.7% at an annualized pace, following 11 straight months of growth.

Production rose for mining and quarrying by 12.2% from a year earlier in April and for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 1.6%.

The index of manufacturing, on the other hand, fell 1.5% year-on-year in April.

On a monthly basis, the output dropped 4.9% in April, the steepest decline in 14 months.
