ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's industrial output rebounded on a monthly basis in August, the country’s statistical authority reported on Wednesday.
Industrial production grew 2.4% month-on-month in August, following a 6.1% decline in July, Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) data showed.
The electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index rose 2.8% from a month ago in August.
The manufacturing index climbed 2.7% during the same period, while the mining and quarrying index fell 3.9%.
On an annual basis, industrial production growth slowed to a two-year low in August, up 1% year-on-year.
The figure came below a market forecast of 2.7% growth.
