Türkiye's industrial output swings back to growth in September

Production rises 1.6% from August, official data shows

Türkiye's industrial output posted a month-on-month rise in September, reversing a decrease in August, according to official data released on Monday.

Industrial production grew 1.6% from a month ago, following a 1.6% decline in August, Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) data showed.

The manufacturing index increased 1.8% on a monthly basis and the mining and quarrying index rose 1.2%.

The electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index, on the other hand, fell 1.8% in September.

On an annual basis, industrial production growth shrank 2.4% in September, easing from August's 5.2%.
