ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index rallied at Friday's close, rising 2.07% to 3,626.96 points.
After starting the day at 3,615.02 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 73.53 points from Thursday's close of 3,553.43 points.
On a weekly basis, the BIST 100 index climbed 1.66% this week.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.9 trillion Turkish liras ($155.3 billion), with a daily trading volume of 59 billion Turkish liras (nearly $3.18 billion).
One ounce of gold traded at $1,639.00 by market close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was at $92.08 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT).
