SIRNAK, Turkey (AA) – Turkish security forces on Tuesday neutralized two PKK terrorists in a clash in southeastern Turkey’s Sirnak province, according to the city governorate.
In a statement released, the Sirnak governor's office said the two PKK terrorists were neutralized during a security operation against the terrorist organization PKK in Sirnak’s Uludere region.
The operation to capture other terrorists is still underway, the statement added.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its armed campaign in July 2015 and since then has been responsible for the deaths of around 1,100 security personnel and civilians, including women and children.
