ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye on Tuesday condemned the Israeli attacks in Gaza which resulted in the death of Palestinians, including women and children.
"Such despicable acts are in no way acceptable.
"We expect these attacks to be ended immediately, without further loss of life and without causing a new spiral of conflict in the region," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry also expressed condolences to Palestinians.
At least 13 people were killed, including women and children, and 20 others were injured in airstrikes carried out early Tuesday in Gaza by the Israeli military.
The casualties were announced by the Health Ministry in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin also denounced the Israeli attacks.
"Military attacks against the Palestinian people must be stopped immediately. Türkiye is with the Palestinian people in its just cause," Kalin said on Twitter.
Turkish parliament speaker Mustafa Sentop strongly condemned the attacks and conveyed condolences to those who lost their lives, and wished recovery to the wounded.
"I loudly state that Israel must immediately put an end to these unlawful and barbaric attacks, which only bring chaos to the region and render peace impossible.
"Türkiye will always continue to condemn these unlawful attacks against the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people," Sentop said on Twitter.
