ANKARA (AA) – The first leg matches in the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals will begin on Thursday.
Manchester United (England) will take on Sevilla (Spain), Juventus (Italy) will face Sporting Lisbon (Portugal), Bayer Leverkusen (Germany) will meet Union Saint-Gilloise (Belgium), and Feyenoord (Netherlands) will play against Roma (Italy) in the first legs games.
The most successful club of the competition, Sevilla, is after its seventh title.
In the UEFA Europe League history, Juventus won the competition three times, Feyenoord bagged the cup twice, Leverkusen and Manchester United each clinched the trophy once.
After beating Feyenoord 1-0 in the 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League final, Roma aims to raise the bar this year by clinching the second-tier competition of European club football for the first time, just like Union Saint-Gilloise and Sporting Lisbon.
Manchester United's Marcus Rashford tops the 2023 UEFA Europa League top scorer list with six goals, followed by Feyenoord's Santiago Gimenez and Union Saint-Gilloise's Victor Boniface with five goals each.
The second leg quarterfinal matches of the UEFA Europa League will be played on April 20.
