ANKARA (AA) – The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) on Friday unveiled the 2022-23 UEFA Women’s Player of the Year award nominees.
Barcelona's Spanish midfielder Aitana Bonmati, Real Madrid's Spanish full-back Olga Carmona, and Chelsea's Australian attacker Sam Kerr were named as nominees.
First, the nominees were shortlisted by the UEFA technical observers based on their performance during the last season, and then the top three nominees were voted for by a jury.

UEFA also unveiled the top three nominees for the 2022-23 UEFA Women’s Coach of the Year award on Friday.
Barcelona's Spanish boss Jonatan Giraldez, the reigning-World-Cup-winner Spain's head coach Jorge Vilda, and England's manager Sarina Wiegman were nominated for the honor.
The winners of the awards will be announced next week, the UEFA stated.
