LONDON (AA) – The total number of COVID-19 cases in the UK since the pandemic began passed 10 million on Thursday, according to government data.
A total of 47,240 more infections and 147 fatalities were reported on Thursday, raising the overall count to 10,021,497, including 144,433 deaths.
Over 50.8 million Brits aged 12 and over, or 88.4%, have received the first dose of a vaccine, while more than 46.2 million, or 80.4%, have been given two shots.
Over 16.3 million, or 28.5%, have also received a third booster dose, the data showed.
