The UK economy grew 0.6% in the second quarter of last year compared to the previous period, in line with market forecasts, according to flash data released on Thursday.
The figure followed 0.7% growth in the first quarter, Office for National Statistics data showed.
On the output side, services grew 0.8% in the quarter while the production and construction sectors shrank 0.1% quarter-on-quarter in April-June.
On an annual basis, GDP in the UK is estimated to have risen 0.9% in the second quarter of this year.
