The UK premier’s close protection officer was arrested for allegedly taking part in bets on the date of the general election, according to media reports on Wednesday.
An investigation was opened and Rishi Sunak's close protection officer was suspended from operational duties, said Skynews.
The officer was arrested and placed in custody Monday, it said.
Britain will go to polls July 4 to elect a new government for a period of five years.
