ANKARA (AA) - Andriy Kostin has been chosen as Ukraine’s new prosecutor general, local media reported on Wednesday.
A resolution for his appointment submitted by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was approved by 299 lawmakers in the 450-seat parliament, according to the state-run Ukrinform news agency.
Kostin is a member of Zelenskyy’s Servant of the People party and chair of the parliament’s Committee on Legal Policy.
Zelenskyy had nominated Kostin for the job after removing Iryna Venediktova as the prosecutor general earlier this month.
