ISTANBUL (AA) - At least 17 people were injured in an overnight Russian attack in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, local authorities said on Sunday.
“According to updated data, 17 people were injured in Kryvyi Rih due to Russian attacks … Eight of them are in hospital,” Dnipropetrovsk Governor Serhii Lysak said on Telegram.
Lysak said a hotel, a shop, an administrative building, an educational institution, and seven apartment buildings were damaged.
Ukraine’s Interior Ministry said in a separate statement that one of those injured is a rescue worker, adding that a fire had broken out due to the attack, though it was promptly extinguished.
Local authorities in Kyiv also reported attacks on the city overnight, with Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, claiming that about a dozen Russian drones were intercepted either on approach or over the capital.
