ISTANBUL (AA) - At least two people were injured in Ukraine’s southwestern Odesa region due to an overnight Russian drone attack, local authorities said on Sunday.
“As a result of enemy (Russian) shelling by drone attack, two people were injured in Odesa. They are hospitalized in moderate condition,” Odesa Governor Oleh Kiper said on Telegram.
Expressing that all relevant services are working on the ground, Kiper said six residential buildings and a gas station were among the damaged infrastructure in the region.
Ukraine’s Air Force claimed its air defenses downed 62 out of 145 Russian drones launched on 13 regions of the war-torn country, including Odesa.
Damages due to the overnight drone attacks were also reported by local authorities in the Kharkiv and Khmelnytskyi regions.
Russian authorities have not yet commented on the attack.
