ISTANBUL (AA) - A number of Ukrainian officials held a meeting with US national security adviser Jake Sullivan and discussed defense support.
“Together with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, we met with the National Security Adviser of the US President, Jake Sullivan,” Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, said on Telegram around Wednesday midnight.
Expressing that Oksana Markarova, Ukraine’s ambassador to the US, and Daria Zarivna, a Ukrainian presidential adviser, also attended the meeting, Yermak said that a conversation took place about the situation on the front line, weapons and "Ukraine’s victory."
“I thanked the US for organizing the Ukrainian-American conference of defense industries, which is taking place on December 5-6 in Washington,” Yermak further said.
A delegation of top Ukrainian officials led by Yermak, which also includes Strategic Industries Minister Oleksandr Kamyshin, traveled to the US on Tuesday, during which they held talks with senators and top officials from the House of Representatives and attended the US-Ukraine Defense Industrial Base Conference.
