HAMILTON, Canada (AA) - UN General Assembly President Dennis Francis condemned on Thursday an overnight airstrike on a UN school-turned-makeshift-shelter in the Gaza Strip that killed dozens of victims .
Asked about the strike at a news conference, spokeswoman Monica Grayley said Francis condemns the attack "as he has condemned all previous attacks on civilians, on infrastructure."
Grayley expressed condolences on behalf of Francis to the families of the victims who were killed.
At least 39 displaced Palestinians were killed in the strike on the school sheltering thousands of displaced people in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to authorities in Gaza.
