UN Population Fund details list of aid items rejected for delivery by Israel to Gaza

List includes ventilators, wheelchairs, maternity kits, water pumps

HAMILTON, Canada (AA) - The UN Population Fund (UNFPA) on Thursday listed some of the materials Israel has prevented from entering the Gaza Strip.

They include "ventilators, wheelchairs, birthing kits, ultrasound equipment, and generators," UNFPA wrote on X.

Aid trucks entering Gaza are controlled by Israel, and if authorities object to a single item on the truck, the entire truck is not allowed into the enclave.

Israel has completely rejected many aid shipments, including small scissors, insulin pens, anesthesia, oxygen cylinders and materials necessary for surgical operations, according to international reports.

Many countries have sent aid to Gaza via Egyptian territories, but due to Israeli obstructions, much of it continues to wait in Egypt.
