ANKARA (AA) - Italian Serie A leaders Napoli on Saturday took 11 wins in a row after a 3-2 victory against Udinese.
Napoli must bag six straight victories to tie the longest winning streak record in Italy that still belongs to Inter Milan.
Inter had 17 wins in a row in the 2006-07 season to be the record holder in this field.
On Saturday, home team Napoli's Nigerian star Victor Osimhen scored a header in the 15th minute at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
In the 31st minute, Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski was in the area to curl the ball into the Udinese net as Napoli doubled the gap.
Eljif Elmas, another Napoli midfielder, scored a solo-effort goal on a counter attack in the second half.
Near the end of the match, Ilija Nestorovski and Lazar Samardzic scored for Udinese but Napoli won once again.
Napoli are having a dream season and are still unbeaten in the league.
The Naples club have 41 points after 13 wins and two draws to extend their lead at the top.
Napoli's nearest opponents, second-placed Lazio and third-placed AC Milan have 30 points in 14 matches.
Lazio will visit Juventus in Turin, and AC Milan will face Fiorentina at home on Sunday.
