GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - Fourteen Palestinians were killed and 29 injured Saturday in Israeli airstrikes that targeted the northern and central Gaza Strip, which is in its second year of a genocide.
A strike targeted the Jabalia area in northern Gaza, killing three Palestinians and injuring four, medical sources told Anadolu.
In a separate attack, the Al-Awda Hospital reported that three people were injured by artillery fire while collecting firewood in the Al-Mufti area, north of the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
It noted that a child and a woman were brought to the hospital with injuries sustained while fleeing along Al-Rashid Street from northern Gaza to the south.
"Five citizens were martyred and eight others were injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house near the Al-Nasra Tower, north of the Al-Nuseirat Refugee Camp," the Al-Awda Hospital said in a statement.
Witnesses told Anadolu that the house sheltering displaced people was targeted by a warplane. Medical teams and civil defense workers are searching for the missing under the rubble, they said.
Medical sources told Anadolu that three Palestinians were killed and three injured when an Israeli drone targeted a school in Jabalia in northern Gaza.
In another attack, three Palestinians were killed and 12 were injured in an airstrike on a house in the Nasser neighborhood of Gaza City, paramedics told Anadolu.
Israel has launched a genocidal war on Gaza since October 2023, killing nearly 44,400 people, most of them women and children, and injuring more than 105,100.
The second year of the genocide in Gaza has drawn growing international condemnation, with officials and institutions labeling the attacks and blocking of aid deliveries as a deliberate attempt to destroy a population.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants Nov. 21 for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense chief Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its deadly war on Gaza.
