BEIRUT (AA) - Hezbollah announced Friday the death of two fighters who were killed fighting Israel.
The group identified one fighter as Ali Hasan Nahla, who was killed "on the road to Jerusalem," in reference to Hezbollah’s fight in support of Palestinian resistance facing a devastating Israeli onslaught against the Gaza Strip.
The group separately mourned Mahdi Muhammad Khair al-Din, who it said was also killed "on the road to Jerusalem."
The new fatalities bring the number of Hezbollah fighters killed in fighting with Israeli forces since Oct. 8 to 368, according to an Anadolu tally.
Fears have grown about a full-blown war between Israel and the Lebanese resistance group amid an exchange of cross-border attacks between the two sides.
The escalation comes against the backdrop of a deadly Israeli onslaught on Gaza, which has killed more than 38,300 victims since October, following an attack by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas.
