ATHENS (AA) – At least four migrants died in a boat that capsized off the Greek island of Samos due to bad weather, local media reported on Monday.
The four female migrants, whose bodies were recovered, died when a plastic boat carrying migrants sunk off in the island’s southwestern Agios Isodoros Bay, according to the state-run AMNA news agency.
Five of them reached the shore and another 20, who were found on land, are being questioned whether they were on the same boat, it added.
An extensive search and rescue operation, by land and air, is underway to locate the 25 missing migrants, it said.
