ISTANBUL (AA) - At least 12 people were killed in a shooting by unidentified gunmen in northern Afghanistan, the local media said on Friday.
The incident happened at a shrine in the Nahrin district of northern Baghlan province during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, Khaama Press reported.
The identity of those responsible for the attack was not immediately evident.
Officials confirmed the casualties.
International forces withdrew from Afghanistan in August 2021, and the war-torn country is run by an interim Taliban administration.
