GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) – At least 22 Palestinians were killed and several others injured in Israeli airstrikes in the northern and southern Gaza Strip on Thursday, medical sources said.

Israeli fighter jets hit a house next to Kamal Adwan Hospital in the town of Beit Lahia, leaving seven people dead and five others injured, a medical source said.

Another ten people lost their lives and several people were injured in another strike targeting a home in the same town, the source added.

Three people were also injured when an Israeli drone shelled the rooftop of the Indonesian Hospital in the same area.

In southern Gaza, an Israeli airstrike on Rafah killed two Palestinians, the source said.

Medics said that three more people were killed in an airstrike targeting a home in Shejaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

Israel launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip following an attack by Hamas in October 2023, killing nearly 44,600 people, most of them women and children, and injuring over 105,700.

The second year of the genocide in Gaza has drawn growing international condemnation, with officials and institutions denouncing the attacks and blocking of aid deliveries as a deliberate attempt to destroy the population.

Last month, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its deadly war on Gaza.
