ISTANBUL (AA) – At least six people were killed and nine others injured on Thursday after a helicopter crashed in the Russian Republic of Altai.
"According to updated information, there were 16 people on board a private helicopter that crashed in the Altai Republic: nine were injured, six died, one does not need medical care," the country's Emergency Situations Ministry said in a statement on Telegram.
“In the village of Tyungur, Ust-Koksinsky District, an aircraft crashed and caught fire while landing. According to the preliminary information, the helicopter touched electrical wires,” a statement issued earlier by the ministry said.
