UPDATES WITH POWER RESUMPTION, EDITS THROUGHOUT

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AA) - Ethiopia on Thursday emerged from a significant power outage that lasted for five hours, with electricity being restored across the country.
The outage, which left most regions without power, ended as the national grid resumed operation, the state-owned Ethiopian Electric Authority said on Facebook.
The breakdown affected nearly the entire country, leaving only Bahir Dar, capital of the northern Amhara region, and its surroundings.
The power company has not yet provided details regarding the specific cause of the blackout.
