Leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia, Uzbekistan, and others wish peace and prosperity to Turkish state and nation

UPDATES WITH STATEMENTS FROM UKRAINIAN, KYRGYZ AND KAZAKH PRESIDENTS

ISTANBUL (AA) - Eurasian countries, including Turkic states, have congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in his remarks said his nation reveres “the dear memory of Great Leader (Mustafa Kemal) Ataturk, his comrades-in-arms, and our heroic martyrs with deep respect.”

“On this historic day, I share in the joy of you and the people of brotherly Türkiye, and wish you robust health, happiness, and success in your responsible state activities, and the Republic of Türkiye everlasting prosperity, well-being, and development."

Russian President Vladimir Putin lauded relations and cooperation between Ankara and Moscow, saying “I am confident that we will continue to consistently build up the entire range of bilateral ties for the benefit of our friendly peoples, in the interests of building a more just and democratic world order. I sincerely wish you good health and success, and all your fellow citizens - happiness and prosperity."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated his Turkish counterpart in a written telegram shared by Kyiv's ambassador to Ankara on X, saying that Türkiye set "an example for many countries by gaining its freedom and independence with a heroic and difficult struggle."

"I believe that under your leadership, Türkiye will continue to reach new horizons of progress ... On this occasion, Mr. President, I wish you health, diligence and success in your responsible state activities, and peace and prosperity to the friendly Turkish people," he added.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also wished his Turkish counterpart and his family members good health and prosperity, while also wishing the Turkish people “peace, lasting development and prosperity."

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov also congratulated Turkish President Erdogan on his country's 100th anniversary, according to a statement by the country's embassy in Ankara, adding that he wishes him good health and peace and well-being to the Turkish people.

Separately, a statement by the Kazakh presidency said that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and his Turkish counterpart held a phone conversation, during which he congratulated him and the Turkish people on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko also congratulated Erdogan, saying Minsk sees Ankara as “a reliable and promising partner."
