ISTANBUL (AA) – Firefighters put out a fire that broke out late Saturday on the roof of the world-famous Grand Bazaar in the Turkish metropolis Istanbul, sources said.
The incident occurred on the roof of the section where the Coral Gate of the Grand Bazaar is located in the Fatih district of the northwestern province for an unknown reason, a source told Anadolu on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.
Following the incident, a large number of firefighters were dispatched to the scene, and they successfully extinguished the fire.
