ANKARA (AA) - English Premier League Club Fulham has transferred Besiktas goalkeeper Fabri via a three-year deal, the club announced on Tuesday.
"The club is delighted to confirm the signing of Fabricio Agosto Ramirez from Besiktas for an undisclosed fee," the club said in a statement.
It added 30-year-old Fabri had penned the three-year deal with the Whites, which holds an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.
During his time with Besiktas in Turkey, Fabri was voted as the best goalkeeper in the Super Lig for two years in a row.
He also made 11 appearances at the Champions League and six in the Europa League.
"I am delighted to be at a historic club like Fulham, the oldest club in London. I am very happy to have the opportunity to be in the Premier League with Fulham," Fabri was quoted as saying in a statement.
He added: "Everything is very positive for me and I want to take the opportunity to make the most of this goal of being in the Premier League."
In a farewell message to Besiktas, Fabri said on his Twitter account: "Today one stage ends. An unforgettable experience in many ways. The next step in my career leads me to fulfill one of my dreams: playing in the Premier League.
"I want to thank all the components of the BJK [Besiktas]: My colleagues, coaches, doctors, physiotherapists and all the people who, although they are not in the front row, have made possible every day that I felt like home."
Fabri added it was not easy to make such a decision, "more after the two seasons I have spent in this club, in this city and in this wonderful country."
