JERICHO, Palestine (AA) – The Israeli army on Monday raided the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp in eastern West Bank, triggering clashes with local Palestinians, witnesses said.
Witnesses told Anadolu that the Israelis besieged a Palestinian home, and detained one person before withdrawing from the camp.
At least two Palestinians were injured from gunfire and dozens were affected by tear gas during the clashes, medics said.
Tensions have been running high across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, in recent months amid repeated Israeli raids into Palestinian towns.
