RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – An Israeli army drone on Tuesday killed at least six Palestinians in the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank, according to the Health Ministry.
A ministry statement said the bodies arrived at the government-run Khalil Salman Hospital in the city.
A 13-year-old boy was among the victims, the ministry added.
Witnesses told Anadolu that the drone also left many others injured, with the army preventing medical teams from reaching the area to evacuate the victims.
Earlier in the day, Israeli forces stormed the city from several directions, triggering clashes with Palestinians.
Israeli bulldozers also destroyed infrastructure and property in the Jenin refugee camp, according to witnesses.
Anadolu also learned that Israeli forces raided several areas across the West Bank, including the town of Silwad in Ramallah, and detained at least 15 Palestinians.
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank amid an Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.
At least 281 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank and more than 3,810 others detained since then, according to Palestinian figures.
