RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - The Israeli army on Wednesday killed four Palestinians during its raids in Tubas city and Tamun town in the occupied northern West Bank.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa said that the Israeli army killed a Palestinian man, Fayez Abu Amer, after surrounding his house in Tubas city.

According to an Anadolu correspondent, the Israeli military's raid on Tubas led to confrontations with local Palestinians.

Simultaneously, the Israeli army also raided several homes in the nearby town of Tamun.

According to Wafa, the Israeli army killed three Palestinians in Tamun in a drone strike, and withheld their bodies.

Another Palestinian was seriously wounded in the raid on Tamun and was taken to Tubas government hospital, according to a Health Ministry statement.

Israeli forces have been conducting regular raids across various areas of the West Bank, which have escalated since the onset of the Gaza conflict on Oct. 7, 2023. Palestinians have also faced violent attacks by illegal Israeli settlers.

Since then, at least 629 Palestinians have been killed, and nearly 5,400 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.

In a landmark opinion on July 19, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land "illegal" and called for the evacuation of all existing settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
