ISTANBUL (AA) – The death toll from Friday’s suicide bombing in Kabul has climbed to 53, including 46 girls and young women, according to the UN mission in Afghanistan.
At least 110 more people have been injured, the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said in a brief statement on Monday.
Friday’s suicide attack targeted an educational center in Kabul’s Dasht-e-Barchi neighborhood, an area home to the minority Hazara community.
The UN mission said earlier on Monday that casualty figures are “likely to rise further.”
