WASHINGTON (AA) - US Capitol Police (USCP) cleared all Senate office buildings Wednesday after receiving a report of "a possible active shooter" on Capitol Hill.
Capitol Police earlier emphasized that they do not have "any confirmed reports of gunshots," but locked down the buildings after receiving "a concerning 911 call." Police ordered those inside the buildings to shelter in place as they sought to investigate.
Shortly after 4 p.m. local time, USCP said "all buildings have been cleared at this time," but the offices "have not been reopened."
