NEW DELHI (AA) – Indian police said they are investigating reports of a blast near the Israeli Embassy in the capital New Delhi on Tuesday evening.
Police and other investigators arrived at the scene after learning about the blast, and the matter is being looked into, police sources told Anadolu.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said the cause of the blast was not immediately clear and Israeli security officials were working with local Indian authorities to investigate the incident.
No injuries have so far been reported.
The reported blast comes amid widespread international outrage over nearly three months of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, killing some 21,000 people and injuring over 55,000, most of them women and children.
A similar blast occurred near the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi two years ago with no injuries reported.
