AMMAN, Jordan (AA) - Thousands of Jordanians participated in a march for the eighth Friday in a row in support of people in the Gaza Strip which has been under Israeli attacks since Oct. 7.

The march began after the Friday prayer in front of the Al-Husseini Mosque in the center of the capital Amman, and proceeded to Palm Square, an Anadolu correspondent reported.

The march was organized at the invitation of the Islamic Action Front Party, under the title “At your command, Gaza.”

The march coincided with the end of a humanitarian pause and the resumption of Israeli attacks.

Meanwhile, Jordan on Friday condemned the resumption of Israel's "futile, aggressive" war on the Gaza Strip, calling for a "deterrent" international stance against Tel Aviv.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs "condemned the resumption of the senseless Israeli aggressive war on the Gaza Strip."

The statement reiterated "the Kingdom's strong rejection and condemnation of the resumption of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip."

It called on the international community to “bear its responsibility, deter Israel from committing more crimes against civilians, and stop its senseless war on Gaza."

Israel early Friday resumed its military operations against the Gaza Strip after the end of the humanitarian pause, targeting various areas in the north, center, and south of the enclave, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries, according to the ministry in Gaza.

At least 32 Palestinians were killed and several others injured as Israel resumed striking various areas in the Gaza Strip, the Health Ministry in Gaza said.

The pause between Israel and Hamas, which went into effect on Nov. 24, ended on Friday morning.
