UPDATES WITH TWITTER POST BY SAUDI CONSULATE IN ISTANBUL

ANKARA/ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish Foreign Ministry on Thursday summoned Saudi Arabia’s envoy to Ankara after disappearance of a Saudi journalist, according to diplomatic sources.
Ambassador Walid Bin Abdul Karim El Khereiji was summoned to the ministry on Wednesday afternoon, said the diplomatic sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to media.
Jamal Khashoggi, the Saudi journalist, has been missing since he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on Wednesday.
The Saudi ambassador was asked about the disappearance of the Washington Post’s prominent columnist, the sources said without providing further information.
The Saudi consulate in Istanbul also said in a Twitter post that they were working in coordination with Turkish authorities to investigate the issue.
