UPDATES WITH MEETING BETWEEN TURKISH PARLIAMENT SPEAKER, VIETNAMESE PREMIER; CHANGES DECK

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the presidential palace in the capital Ankara on Wednesday, the Turkish presidency said.
No further information was provided about the meeting.
Meanwhile, Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus met with Chinh at the parliament and they held a meeting with bilateral delegations following a one-on-one discussion.
Expressing his pleasure for hosting the Vietnamese premier, Kurtulmus said 2023 marks the 45th anniversary of the beginning of diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Vietnam.
"The fact that the first official visit at the prime ministerial level from Vietnam is taking place on the occasion of this 45th anniversary is a special source of joy for us," he said.
Türkiye and Vietnam have had quite positive relations so far, Kurtulmus stressed, adding that there are opportunities in various areas to assess and take joint steps that would be beneficial to the interests of both countries.
